Ever hear strange thumps and mysterious creaks coming from your attic late at night? It’s just the wind, you think, or a box tipping over.

You’ll never think about your attic in the same way again once you’ve met Tuff Fluff and his pals. Tuff Fluff might look like a shabby rabbit but he’s really a tough-talking private investigator with a patch over one eye and a penchant for crossword puzzles. He’s often seen hanging around with Big Stuff (aka Bluebell), a giant blue teddy bear with a voice as sweet as molasses, and Duckie, a quacker who sure can spin a yarn.

Tuff Fluff, Bluebell, and Duckie are three of the leading players in the Attic, a performing arts center for the toys and treasures that we pack away and store, the toys that no longer have a place in our daily lives but are too special to discard.

The Stuffs are the founding members of the Attic. After spending years with children, listening to fairy tales, adventure stories, and comic books, they are pros at telling their own stories and creating new genres. The Stuffs have introduced other toys – beanies, action figures, dolls and gizmos – to acting, and the troupe has created and performed hundreds of delightful stories. Every child will recognize at least one of these characters as a toy he or she has loved.

The stories and performances that take place in the Attic are told in a series of books and stop-motion animated TV shows, aimed at audiences aged 6 to 11. Episodes include “The Case of Duckie’s Missing Brain,” “Journey to the Basement of the House,” “Luggage Stowaways,” and “The Big Sneeze.”
